St. Paul Preschool Program
The St. Paul Preschool Program is a 3-day preschool. Class days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., September-May. Our program offers educational and inspirational learning for children ages 18 months to 4 years. Each class has a teacher and an assistant and has a limited number of children based on the age of the class.
Teachers at St. Paul Preschool Program consider the age and development of the children in their class and try to emphasize growth in all areas (physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual) when planning and implementing activities. Although play is a major tool used in teaching children, teachers also provide more structured learning time through activities such as circle time and learning centers. We introduce songs, reading, writing, and social skills such as sharing and respecting others. This is all done with regard to the age of the child. Theme-based activities introduce children to a variety of topics in an age-appropriate, timely manner.
Along with classroom activities and outside time, children in our program will have the opportunity to learn the joy of worship. Once a week, we gather in the Sanctuary for a twenty-minute, chapel time. Here the children learn to sit together on the pews. They also learn inspirational, fun songs about Jesus and God’s love.
